Hi all, i was reading through the flightsim.com main page and came across a new product coming from A2A/Aircraft Factory... One of the last piston engine single seat fighters produced in the USA...
North American's P-51H..... Ok, so its not going to get the Accusim treatment, but still it will be awesome i know i cant wait...

Yip we have all been watching this one ... this is just a teaser pre Accusim , least its a variant that is a cheaper option .. Better known as a F-51 in Korea .. but it was so hard to loose its 'P' designation .

Ian Ian...you have your facts wrong (for once tongue.gif )...the H model didn't serve in Korea - the "H" was a light weight interceptor/escort version of the P-51D and was too late for WW2. It was the P-51D (F-51D by then) that served in Korea as those had underwing hard points and could be used for ground atack (ie dropping bombs and firing rockets) - which the P-51H couldn't do.

Close .. July 1947 changed and in 1948 the US Army Air Corps to USAF this changed all designations from the 'P' for don't pisss me off to 'F' you really ' f'n ' me off tongue.gif , some lessors stayed with the Pursuit legend due to training and operational status , postwar 'H' were based on a XP-51F .. and never a front line fighter .. only 555 built most going to a training role .
