URGENT RECALL: Orbx FTX: NZ North Island‏

Read and report on flightsim developers progress of upcoming or completed products

Postby jeansy » Sat Jul 28, 2012 3:59 pm

QUOTE
We have identified a very serious issue with the FSS wrapper for the
Orbx FTX: NZ North Island product that could portentially delete your
FSX installation. This will occur if the wrapper is run and canceled
on one of the screens that are displayed before the unwrapping process
has begun.

We ask that all customers please discontinue downloads if they are
still in progress, and that the file be deleted by those who have
completed the download, regardless of whether you have successfully
installed the package.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and will be sure to keep you
updated.[/quote]

Hmmmmm, not so lucky here. FSX folder now stripped bare and a re-install needed.

Thanks ORBX

I got my download early this afternoon before the warning came out but I took a backup of mt whole FSX before I installed NZNI.
Installed OK but now get those big squares in the sea outside the North Island rivers mouths again just like I got when I installed NZSI so will wait until the new download is out and download and install again.

Adrian from FSS here. I am sorry that you have been caught by this bug in our wrapper. Please understand that it is in no way the fault of Orbx and has nothing to do with their scenery product. The FlightSim Store takes full responsibility for this issue. Please do as Tim has asked and email us via our website contact page to discuss the matter further: http://www.flightsimstore.com/contact_us.php
