Basically a Chinese Su-27SK, though research indicates that the B model is about 90% indigenous.

I've wanted a really good SU-27 for FSX for a while now - this will be an acceptable alternative though, and although the last time I flew a Bear Studios aircraft it was their MiG-15 from the very early days of FSX I did find the MiG-15 to be pretty good overall so as long as they've kept their standard up this should be a good investment too.

Well... this is a "modified" chinese (!) version and something different from the original thing.

This is the typical Suchoi Su 27B, You can find in Russia and some foreign customers with the "classic" cockpit and the modernized cockpit as well. I have tested it for FS Magazine Germany. It is a good representaition and not only a modified chinese pirate copy. (Original, not Bearsoft!)

http://www.flight1.com/products.asp?product=su27flanker

It is the version from the 80´s, the original "Flanker B". The other cockpit is for gaming only. Forme it it is a good representation of the original.

EDIT... I have edited the passage about the Chinese and their interest to steeling and copy technology from others. The damage in Germany last year for steeling and copyright-violations from China was around 50 Mrd Euro. ... but i think this is not the intention of the forum to discuss about the origin of this so called Shenjang J-11B.

To understand, what China is and how they steeling anything they need...

"The art of war"... Chapter No. 13 describbed the principles of Espionage.

I have this aircraft now so when I get home tonight I'll put some screenshots and thoughts about it up. It's quite nice.

Hasegawa, are you implying that Bear Studios have copied this from another company?

The Russian or Chinese "Flanker" its almost embarrassing for me to say i have the what is considered to be the western counterpart the "Eagle" as far as Interceptors are concerned i have have but hav'nt hardly taken it outta the box ... one thing tho .. China - North Korea .. I sincerely hope after going thru the Chinese copy center they have not given hundreds to Kim Ill Dong Pong the Northern leader of destruction a few hundred examples for a presidential congrads on replacing old man Kim Ill or we could really be in for a really warm cold war.

Not to sound patronising but I know English is his second language so I wasn't really sure which way he was leaning with the post. smile.gif

Here are some photos of the J11BS, which is the two seater.

The cockpits are in Chinese but there's also English available, too. So here are a couple of photos. The real gem of this aircraft is in the systems. Supposedly they're looking at putting trackpac support on it, too, which would be fun. I prefer the J10 myself but that's a personal preference. BS have done a lot of Chinese/Soviet aircraft and they're generally pretty good (though I've heard the -15 and -17 are good only now they're fully patched) and it's nice not to see yet another airliner popping up...

Rear cockpit. This is the J11BS cockpit, which is to say the two seat J11B. They have the J11A and SU27 cockpits, too.

Everything in Chinese.

Fanging it.

Lift off, believe it or not, heh.
