Remember the 50-50-90 rule. Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong!

Finally some prices that are back down out of the stratosphere.
Maybe I'll get a couple that couldn't previously be justified: 40 bucks for an Apache Longbow never really appealed.
Love the C-17, now 1/4 what I paid for it up front & waited a year to get...

Further saving of about 15% at Sim Market ATM

Good stuff. Got a heap of these titles, think I might grab the Tornado, and maybe the Seasprite does anyone know how it compares to the freebie Seasprite (which I seem to recall has a nice exterior). Oh and all nzff-ers must buy the Yak and Harvard for some mass multiplayer action smile.gif

Deeknow the freeware Seasprite is the better bet - (then) Alphasim model has a deformed tail!

I ended up with a $40 Apache after all.
While there I thought a Dauphin would be nice, somehow in the 2,177 aircraft folders I have, never got round to this one.
So I bought that and the Apache.
When I installed it, it asked if I wanted to repair the existing Dauphin!
Ah.
I have the Alphasim Dauphin y'see, so a search on Virtavia didn't show up.
Caveat Emptor.
For the record: the Apache is absolutely not a $40 model, either.

Thanks Charl. Ended up buying it and yeah I agree some of the modelling is not as good as the freebie, but in some areas it is more detailed. The panel of course is WAY better and worth it for the discounted price alone. Think its fair to say the textures for the NZ Navy on the payware look a little more detailed as well.

I may look at merging the panel with the freebie. Also the sound pack is a little odd.

Hey, I see Deane has the Virtavia stuff on sale at PC Aviator now too, does anyone have the B-24 from Virtavia? Looks pretty reasonable...

ps - also love the look of the B1B Lancer, have their freebie Alpha sim version, the payware looks a little more detailed, anyone own it tho?

Hi all,

Yes we are offering the deal too!

You can view all the products available at http://www.pcaviator.com.au/store/manufact...nufacturerid=83

The sale includes all products including the more popular titles, which, according to sales data are the following top 6:

1. A-4 Skyhawk - http://www.pcaviator.com.au/store/product....at=0&page=1
2. C-17 Globemaster III (FSX) - http://www.pcaviator.com.au/store/product....at=0&page=2 (FS2004 version also available separately)
3. Mi-24D Hind Helicopter - http://www.pcaviator.com.au/store/product....at=0&page=1
4. C-7 Caribou - http://www.pcaviator.com.au/store/product....at=0&page=1 (possibly because its an Aussie favourite!)
5. B-36 Peacemaker - http://www.pcaviator.com.au/store/product....at=0&page=1
6. H-60 Blackhawk - http://www.pcaviator.com.au/store/product....at=0&page=1 (another Aussie favourite)

The two F-111 aardvark packages also rate highly on sales data but I didnt include those in the list as there are now better models of this aircraft available for flight simmers.

Hope that helps!
There are some good deals in the sale for sure.

I think the A4 is worth this costing on sale , the new style VC dose it favours , it is the best Virtavia Jet yet .

The A-4 is hard to pass up at the current price IMHO!

knowing your tastes Sean, i feel if your saving for the AN-2 i think you would be a lot happier to get your long awaited AN-2 on time, rather than waiting longer due to the fact that you got something like this A4 just for the sake of it

while i love the A4, this model did nothing for me like the hind, f111 and ch47 and other recent purchases from them, they still have that old alphasim feel and look to them IMHO, while the VCs have gotten better the FDEs and exteriors are still well behind the 8 ball after all this time FSX has been around

again with your passion for red planes, the AN-2 will have a longer life span with you and you will be over the moon on the day of its release

I think I've come to the same conclusion! The only drawback to the An-2 is that I can probably get to any destination faster by walking! Anyway...obviously looking forward to it...

That was a demo the owners did with the AN2 at Wanaka ... you could off got out and walked, amazing watching aircraft that size stop like Tiger Moth would in a good stiff breeze .
