Ade , we'd all better get in quick and buying flight sim gear before its ban as a terrorist tool.

They also go on about Flight-radar, in the early years the authorities were scared having that available was also a possible terrorist tool, frankly every aircraft should have the transmitters specific - this case is a good example, many people enjoy and track the flights , would have been an extra set off eyes out there that may have giving some lead or people would have questioned is disappearance.

Yeah, isn't as silly as it sounds aye (not that I'm saying everything you say is silly Ian laugh.gif )
With this whole home-sim beat-up going on re the pilot I bet the aircraft manufacturers will be reviewing just how much cooperation they offer to PMDG and the likes in future?

Real world things change and buggered up our in cockpit experience after 9/11 , you simply cannot get in a cockpit unless you sent a letter in and have very stringent going thru for security, looks like they may have to be looking at the drivers as well.

I had to laugh when his sophisticated sim set up was shown. A saitek yoke and throttle quad and some monitors. what a media beat up.

News rolled out that the captain of flight MH370 was a political activist and was unimpressed that Malaysia's opposition leader was jailed for 5 years just for homosexuality. He was found wearing a 'Democracy is Dead' T-shirt, These events happened just hours before he took control of MH370 then moments later while the aircraft was cruising at FL350, he turned off the transponder making the aircraft dissappear from Civilian ATC. According to Military ATC, the aircraft may have been deliberately gone off course into the Indian Ocean. This may rule that it was a 'act of piracy' or a hijacking. ninja.gif

I feel concerned about this. surrender.gif

My point is that the captain was a activist. His name was revealed to the media like that he was a muslim and he might have been a typical Terrorist.

Despite this, I am a muslim, but I really hate Terrorism angry.gif

Not with those kinds of beliefs he won't be, at least not a "typical" Islamic terrorist.

A good part of the population (Malaysia) are non Christian , so being a muslim is no surprise , and i cant find any reference on the media to your " typical terrorist" statement.

I do sense a wee bit of trolling here... I have a nose for trolls.
We all know what not to do with trolls.

As to the luckless missing aircraft, from here on in, until they find the flight recorders, everything is BS.
Everything.

Indeed, which is what I've personally been trying to avoid smile.gif

And yeah, am starting to bore of the flood of MH370 misinformation on public and alt media, until the Malaysian authorities and other government/millitary sources cough up what they really know we might as well park the whole conversation.

"10.36 Jonathan Pearlman in Kuala Lumpur says we now know the names of the flight simulator games used by the pilot of MH370 on his homemade device.

Quote Police said Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah played the games Flight Simulator X, Flight Simulator 9 and X-Plane 10. The logs from these games were deleted on February 3 and police are trying to access the deleted information. I spoke yesterday to Peter Chong, a friend of the pilot, who said Zaharie was proud of the simulator but made no attempt to hide it and invited most of his friends to use it.

The investigation is ongoing but at this stage police appear to have found nothing suspicious."

Logs deleted? As with everything the devils in the details. He may have just reinstalled something or backed his files up. What sim too. One he was using / not using?

What if like to know is when turning left was that a direct to a waypoint or a just a heading turn?

Yes, the last thing we need is another misinformed media frenzy as happened after 9/11. Didn't that delay the release of FS2002 for a few months?

I agree. This sad incident has really shown up the deficiencies of current official tracking methods. By contrast, I've seen Flightradar used extensively and convincingly to investigate possible theories as to what happened.

Agreed,..until that time or until when the plane is found everything is BS, here-say and guesswork and achieves nothing.

I see that view repeated a lot but I think it misses the point of a forum. There's nothing wrong with healthly discussion and there's an opportunity for people to learn from the views of others. Of course no one really knows what's happened, that's obvious....but discussion here is not going to impede the investigation one single iota so that's the harm?
