Yep, yet another incremental update has been released. Not only this but Nvidia drivers 337.50 have been released with major API improvements which separates this set from previous sets by miles.

enjoy!

Fantastic. Guess I'll be giving P3D a go this weekend. I was waiting for v2.2 because OOM errors were driving me crazy!

I don't have time for a proper look today, but firing up 2.2 for the first time is a real treat -- the subtle lighting improvements (mainly cloud shadows?) make a real difference, and the autogen performs noticeably better.

It's really hard to quantify the visual improvements, it just seems... livelier, the lighting is kind of translucent, and the distance-haze effects are back to what we saw in 2.0, but lost in 2.1.

Nice shots Rob. This is going on my new rig once I put it together...hopefully next week. Dedicated Flt sim SSD and all. Work will be interfering until then unfortunately:(

Yeah I have an SSD sitting on my desk and I've decided I'm going to bung that in and put P3D on it - because it's slow as a dog to load off the normal HDD.

I must admit things are looking much better this time and no real issues with the 2.2 release for me that I've found.

What will really be great now is to see a revamp of the landclass biome system as well as fixing the boundary areas so they blend nicely and we'll have a winner.
