It would be very interesting to compare, Barry did a really wicked job with his JF model.

I have both and am still comparing.

The Aerosoft model is trickier to fly. More cockpit emersion. Despite the 'ready to fly' selection, there are still things to setup for a proper flight.

The Aerosoft FDE is more sensitive, less stable than the JF model. You can almost sense the raw power. And landings are trickier. Some buffeting if the aircraft is not trimmed right.

Both are excellent models with slightly different approaches to external animations (i.e., cart, ladder, etc.).

I like the Aerosoft sounds and active radar better than the JF version.

To be honest I think the Aerosoft version compliments the JustFlight version. To round out my enjoyment I ended up getting the Team SDB scenery for RAF Binbrook and Wattisham.

Funny you should ask..

Just did a hop yesterday. Have more screenies in the hopper, but not on Photobucket as yet.

Spent most of the day mastering the AP on the Aerosoft model.

Cheers

Thanks Ian.

The Team SDB scenery comes with AI AI Lightnings courtesy of David Hanvey and Paul Barry. I searched for packages by John Young and found several on Flightsim.com, but not a completed FSX airfield or flightplans. I believe ACG was working on Binbrook, but it may not be complete.

Thought I might clarify. The AS Lighting is without GPS or ADF. Although I have a flight plan between the two RAF Airfields, I will have to rely on more precise navigation which warrants I master the AP using the heading bug. Using ILS or Tacan helps, but only if the airfield is ILS capable.
