Ah, the famous CS xmas special.

For the first time for me ever I wont be buying this year, as I've pretty much got the lot. For anyone who doesn't own any CS models you really HAVE to get the Hercules, the 727-1/200 and 737-1/200 are brilliant, and although the 777 isn't as smart as the PMDG and not as detailed systems wise if you're not a regular tube-liner flyer you cant go wrong with it at this price. The 707 by all accounts (only I don't have) is very good and their 757 and 767 are getting on a bit now but pretty much on a par with the LDS 767 or QualityWings 757 so some good value there too.

Go for gold thumbup1.gif

Well why not? there hasn't been a suitable replacement and none are likely to arrive until A2A get theirs off the ground.

Ive got all their stuff , from way back. The 104 Is still the best in class (FS9), but , i think they peaked with the C-130 , all the rest is fluff.
Bring that C-130 into 2015 C/S and you will have a winner .

Dunno about their earlier military stuff but the 737 and 727 certainly aren't fluff, they are nicely done IMHO

I was a bit disappointed with the 737. Still waiting for a FD fix for the C and F

What disappointed you about it? Do you mean as compared to say the Milviz model? Or just generally?
A bit rough to say "I was disappointed" without some detail surely.

It doesn't perform like a 737 200, the numbers are wrong. Battery drain and ground power problem and no support from CS afterwards. It has been up to the community to fix it up. The V1 gauge has improved it but there still isn't a FD fix for the combi or the F. Don't have the Milviz model and after the debacle with the MD530, I don't think I'll be in any hurry.

I did like the 737, fuel use, climb out, and the need to go round for engine to spool up, course the textures are to die for, battery usage I'll have to re-visit that.

Aha, thanks for that. Fair point re the community fixes, there have been a bunch of user provided tweaks, some stuff for the performance too right? and the V1 gauge and V-speed calculations. Totally agree there that having to rely on community fixes is disappointing, and CS have demonstrated a poor level of responsiveness in a number of their products, that's widely known.

Regarding the 737 I still reckon its worth the sale price, it's flyable as it is and most punters to be fair wont notice or care that performance isn't bang on. And by most punters I'm not including you there ChopperNut tongue.gif
