Need testers for NZScenery Autogen Replacement

Postby Kelvinr » Tue Jan 12, 2016 8:33 pm

Hi all,

So I'm well on my way to getting my autogen project to a usable state.

I am now looking for a few (trusted) people to do some testing and give feedback before I set it out into the wild.

I've been working for months trialing different ways to get as much real data in the sim as possible and I am extremely close to getting all that is required to bring the sim to life.

So in the next few weeks i'll be readying the project for consumer consumption but not before I get it into some trusted peoples hands to test and give feedback.

I also just want to clarify, this project is based on Antony Davison's (very inexpensive and complete) NZ photoreal scenery.

I have decided to focus my efforts on this scenery as the base package that my autogen will sit on, the reason? Well, my autogen will look weird on anything else unless it is NZ photoreal scenery as it is designed to match the terrain elements.

Default scenery hasn't been retrofitted with additional textures to make this work.

With this project, there will be great potential to work with future higher resolution imagery, I then can recompile and match any future data to that scenery also. Possibilities are as far reached as the data availability rather than the tech.

Anyway, PM me if you are interested and i'll get back to you. Preferably, I'm looking for some seasoned forum members.

Don't forget to check out my Facebook NZScenery group page: https://www.facebook.com/NZScenery/

Cheers,

Kelvin
