Without wanting to sound arrogant , i dont know how they will replace me if i move to training.
I worked for 5 hours today to keep things up to date ... in an ideal world , my replacement would have been with me for the last 2 weeks, learning !!
Its taken me almost a year to learn what i know now , and they(company) are going to bring in a new person with no idea , and dump him/her into the fire.

By now , I should have been sitting in on at least 2 , maybe 3, training sessions , to learn the flow and content of the course we( the company) teach ... that hasn't happened , i just dont have the time ,because my old (current) job gets in the way

what do you do?

Marty, keep a diary. These days it is all about paper trails and C-Y-A...mind how you go.

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

After 30 years machine set, tool-making, development and design and customer .. then add the training the prospects ... if you have it know it its easy

If your comfortable stick with what you want ....

I would have chosen the office job and the teach, with what I was doing, simply hey me ... I now say ... well I say ! .. on a week day you have off real quik , we will go down to a couple places I trained the guys, its only 10 minutes walk from here, maybe be the catalyst or what you want to see .
I also trained safety before today's ridiculous OSH rules .. I was thinking even back then.

I think the best thing for you is moving into this field rather on a worksite-yard , many other options may also open up as well.
