FSUIPC support is an open end, at present. According to one of the vidoes (Jordan King?) there are 3 possibilities: Pete will get the ball rolling again, (2) someone else will continue, (3) LM will integrate the functionality into the core sim.

I am pretty sure one or the other will be realized. Personally, I would prefer (3) providing continual and timely updates, but this would probably require an agreement with Pete.

Kind regards, Michael

Thanks Adam I'll give that a go.

FSUIPC - seems to be some conflicting opinions. On the Airdailyx stream someone was saying (on the LM v4 beta forums) that Pete was almost finished with fsuipc x64.
So we'll see.

I'd certainly recommend Adam's presets, I've seen some good screenshots using this, mine is kind of aimed as my limited system, but you are welcome to try it.

Some more news on the V4 front;
- there's a new 64bit SODE already out
- Aerosoft have released (their site only, so far) a V4 compatible Twin Otter installer. They've promised free updates to their aircraft.
- Milviz's new Beaver is also promised an update real-soon
- A2A are doing free updates, with the C172 out on or around release day with the others following shortly (then they're reworking some warbirds)
- Apparently the RealAir Lancair Legacy and Duke work. The Duke uses a 32bit plugin for some sounds - but I think there's a strong chance of a 64 bit version coming.
- The Q400 could be some ways off due to the massive amount of custom stuff
- Hifi have updates coming for AS16 and ASCA coming real-soon
- REX have promised free updates - though I've not seen any dates.

Me I think I'll make the move - perhaps with a parallel install, even if it means loads of stuff not working out of the box.

I'm a real sucker for updates - but this time I'll see if I can hold out at least unil Pete re-codes an x64 FSUIPC.

Thanks for compiling the info - saved me a lot of time digging around!!!

Well, I managed to hold off until my second cup of coffee -- bought a single month developer's license, I'll decide at the end of the month whether to transfer my v3 license. So my 'investment' in v4 at the moment is $16.70, I'm writing that down...

This week I uninstalled v2, I'd just kept that to test installers, but I needed the space -- it's funny how simulators can grow on your hard drive, like mold. I'll check back in, let's see, five hours, damn DSL...

The latest from ORBX. Note they've just posted a 12-24 hour delay on the new FTX Central required to move things into V4.

Also this post from Lewis at A2A gives some good info on how to manage the new P3D add-on structures:

I have decided that I won't purchase P3Dv4 just yet. I am probably a year away from getting my sim back up and the available versions & products are very likely to have changed again by then. I certainly want to support P3D, but I won't purchase until I get my sim back up; then I'll re-scan the market and see what direction to move in ... which will basically be whichever sim depicts NZ the best for GA flying.

same for me

not interested in updating until I know for certain all the cockpit building side of things is sorted ie. FSUIPC is updated, Opencockpits SIOC works, and all the stuff I'm spending time building will run. I hope it will all work out and then I will upgrade - but until then ... yeah nice, but ... nah.
