Hi Rocky,
Yes i have been a NZFF member from the times of FSX. vector land sets and all toprobs airports and loved them all flying NZ. very grateful for this introduction into flight sim from the members.
Yes i am an old fella now nearing my eightys and this is now my hobby. Was never allowed to fly for real on medical grounds, however i have an electronics background and cut my teeth as a lad on the semi state electronics conductor industry.
Now your question on the C172SP. in Xplane 12 Beta 6 and in fact all the early betas 1 to 5 the Cessna 172 pulls badly to the left on take off speed and becomes uncontrollable. The solution to this is to modify the Yaw graph to new settings ( which you have to design) and that access is found under heading joy stick and highlight your rudder peddals installation make.
I can help you with a graph profile if reqd, or start you on something that you can tinker around with or any questions so that the product Flight siming can be enjoyed.
but remember that X plane 12 beta is work in progress by LR and will continue to evolve untill final release date. It is likely as LR refine the C172Sp that you will see more performance changes. You also need to
update your X plane 12 Fuel Loadings and weights to establish your planes center of gravity.
Now X plane 11.53 is sweet in the C172Sp for me on take off but but but for me i have installed a modified Cessna 172 SP Update version 1.0.6 by MGouge from x Plane . Org ( hope i am allowed to say this ""Please edit if i am out of order") see designers notes of version 1.0.6.
I am using honeycomb Alpha, Bravo, and TFRP flight pedals love these working X plane.
I have a copy of MSFS as well.
